March 2024 Reading Recap

I had the good fortune to travel to the UK this month, researching the novel I am currently working on. One of the things I love about bookstores in the UK is the rich array of translations typically unavailable in US Bookstores. In fact, I read five of them this month, translated from French, Hebrew, Russian, and Spanish; and by authors identifying as Algerian, Israeli, Russian, Chilean, and Rwandan.

My poetry / hybrid game was also on point in March, as I had the opportunity to discover UK-based poets who were new to me, get caught up on the work of US-based poets I’d been meaning to get to for some time, and also read the work of my dear friend, Callum Angus, whose new chapbook, Cataract, came out at the end of February (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!) .
