Interviews and Criticism: Authors pour their hearts and souls into their books. My aim is to treat them and their work with that same reverence and care in my interviews and criticism, including reading cover-to-cover the current work of every author I interview.

I am passionate about books for, by, and about Black people, in which history plays an important part. This includes academic texts, narrative nonfiction, biography, essays, historical fiction, and poetry. While I write and interview for a variety of outlets, you can find a good, representative sample of the books I gravitate towards at my New Books Network host page. 

I respond to all inquiries within 72 hours. I typically work on an 8 to 10-week lead time, but am happy to work with you to align to a publicity schedule beyond 10 weeks.

Sensitivity Reads: I am also available to serve as a sensitivity reader for manuscripts featuring adoptee characters, or those in which adoption is a central theme, but do not otherwise engage with non-adoptee authors (via interview or book review) writing about adoption.
